I knew she was using

I knew she was using them, but I thought the significant attrition rate was due to the fact that we both wore them, and therefore wore them out more quickly. It hit critical mass this week, when I realized I was out of socks 3 days after I did laundry.
 
Today we uncovered an entire laundry basket worth of tube socks in my wife’s closet. I’ve adjusted my christmas list: I no longer want socks, I want a larger sock drawer.
