Alas...it is 2:43 AM on May 15th. What am I doing up at this hour? Is it the joy of the beautiful weather that has kept me up, happy as a little boy? Is it the prospect of a hot, tasty cup of coffee at our coffee "shop"? Or perhaps the excitement of attending lectures and meetings all day? No. No. And a BIG FAT NO.
I am up because I just spent 17 hours at our school studying...give or take 1 hr for dinner where I had to leave to retain shove back parts of my brain that were leaking out. I'm here since we have an insane amount of work due this week. Not a ridiculous amount, nor an ludicrous amount, but an INSANE amount.SEVENTEEN HOURS?!?!?! Where did the daylight go??? Did I just miss Sunday?!?!? What happened to "carefree Terry" that got to go out and eat a nice meal and hit some golf balls whenever he wanted to!??!? What on earth did I accomplish today? Well, I wrote up a few cases, met with my group for a few hours, read and read and read, sent out some official school emails and proofed a few documents. 17 hours well spent I say.
Among the things I wanted to do but did not...go to the mall/Best Buy, turn my brain off, and wander aimlessly around the stores until someone took pity on my braindead-edness. Hit golf balls out in the open air. Eat a nice chunk of meat and have a glass of cabernet. Instead, I got to eat takeout chinese, leftover pizza, and a ceasar salad over the course of the day. Woo-F'n-Hoo.
Is summer here yet? For anyone who doesn't know, I'm off to Hong Kong June 8th-24th. Stopping somewhere in Thailand at some point as well. Should be good times. For crapssakes...get me outta here!!!
