At the risk of losing my “street cred” – there isn’t much that is more purely summer than an evening picnic and a concert on the lawn. The Huntington doesn’t actually *allow* food on the grounds, with the exception of 4 member events during the summer, so there was a rarity to it, as well. Today is El Capitain and a birthday party… Hopefully there will also be swimming, since we’ve been solidly in the triple digits for the last several days.

Tonight after dinner, Zoë decided she wanted to sew a pelican. With a couple of mismatched socks, and only needle-threading assistance, she created the most adorable little stuffed animal, ever!
